TRANSITIONING THE CHEMICAL AND ENERGY INDUSTRY FROM AN EXTRACTIVE TO A REGENERATIVE ECONOMY

A JUST TRANSITION IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY

The chemical industry is set to become the largest driver of global oil consumption by 2030. In order to mitigate the impact the chemical industry has on climate change, there needs to be a global initiative to reduce and replace the use of fossil fuels in every part of the chemical industry. We envision that our technology will decouple chemical production from fossil fuel extraction. We want to provide an alternative to fossil fuels, using only the sun, air, and water to power the global economy.

SEQUESTERING CARBON DIOXIDE THROUGH PLASTICS

Ethylene serves as the precursor for most plastics. Normally, ethylene comes from fossil fuels, and producing one ton of ethylene emits two tons of carbon dioxide. However, producing ethylene through our technology captures up to three tons of carbon dioxide per ton of ethylene produced. This means, that for every ton of ethylene produced with our technology we are keeping five tons of carbon dioxide from the environment.
