WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
We are developing a device that can recycle carbon dioxide to produce renewable fuels and chemicals.
Our technology captures carbon dioxide from any source. With only water and renewable electricity, we can produce different hydrocarbons and transform waste carbon dioxide into the precursors used in the chemical industry.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
A modular design that can be integrated with existing technology
We leverage existing electrochemical flow reactor architecture with new catalysts and membranes to create a reactor capable of producing three valuable products with minimal impact on energy efficiency.

INNOVATION
Our reactor design lowers carbon dioxide capture cost, making it ideal for direct air capture.
We use a modified bipolar membrane reactor operating with a carbonate electrolyte. We capture the carbon dioxide through reactive absorption in aqueous alkalis such as NaOH. This capture method is highly efficient and inexpensive.

The proton flux from the bipolar membrane liberates the carbon dioxide from the carbonate solution by reducing the solution pH. The carbon dioxide is then converted to hydrocarbons at the cathode.
WASTE TO WEALTH
We believe in the economic growth generated from recycling waste into valuable products.
The PVC industry is a multi-billion dollar market. Our reactor has the unique advantage that it can simultaneously produce the two main precursors for PVC from wasted carbon dioxide.
